The Feeding

“An old Cherokee…

“An old Cherokee told his grandson, ‘My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy and truth.’

The boy thought about it and asked, ‘Grandfather, which wolf wins?’

The old man quietly replied, ‘The one you feed.’”

This quote was from one of my very first posts on my 2013 year long project. The purpose of my photo blog was a personal growth and recovery project, in which I would post a new picture once a day for the entire year. The process was to move me from where I was in my life at the time and to better deal with a personal quagmire of emotions.
I managed 209 pictures which was well short of my intended goal of one per day or 156 photos to be exact. Where I failed in the physical sense of posting pictures each day, I made up for in my personal happiness and growth. Much has been learned about who I am and what makes me tick, as well as how better to deal with life.
I am happy and very grateful for the friends who have supported me along the way and happy for the new friends I have made.
As with any new year there will be new challenges to overcome, but I am more prepared now.

I will have a new project going for 2014, but have not yet decided on just what it will consist of or how often I will post.

I am feeding the right wolf!
