The Heart of Hoover (9 of 365)

The Heart of Hoover (9 of 365)

This is a shot of some of the generators that are at the bottom of Hoover Dam, some 500 feet below ground. To see it from the outside it simply looks like a huge, static piece of concrete jammed between two canyon walls. Take a tour inside the structure and it is alive with a network of massive pipes, generators, elevators, passageways and people who maintain it around the clock.
